Principal’s Message: Santiago Hills Family News 9/26/16
Hello Santiago Hills families,
Here we are in fall and we couldn’t tell by the weather. In our area we often have warm temperatures through September and into October. With the heat wave, we are reminding kids to drink plenty of water and stay in shaded areas to keep cool. Please also remind your children to drink water at home in the evenings to help them stay hydrated. We can’t get too much water these days.

Ready, Respectful, Responsible
Our students have already learned what it means to be ready, respectful, and responsible at various locations around our campus, including the lunch tables, the playground, and in the classroom. As a parent, I also found it helpful to use the same positive behavior language as my kids’ school at home. Whether you are having trouble with forgotten homework or getting out the door in the morning, it can be helpful to have a conversation about what it means to be ready, respectful, and/or responsible in that area. Clear expectations using language they are already familiar with at school may help for a smoother morning.
Have a wonderful week ahead!
