“Mindfulness and mind wandering. How to increase focus?”
Dr. Drew de Paz is a clinical psychologist who took a valuable detour from her career path to oversee UC Irvine health & safety training for almost a decade. During this time, she also started a psychotherapy private practice where she integrates mindfulness techniques. Over the past 30 years, there has been exponential growth in research on mindfulness-based interventions. Results continue to reveal the beneficial effects across numerous fields including medicine, neuroscience and education. Dr. Drew de Paz will talk to the children and parents about how to use mindfulness techniques to increase focus. She will also include an experiential exercise to give an idea how it is done. She also teaches mindfulness at Anneliese schools.
