6th Grade Guy Stuff

About 6th Grade Guy Stuff

All 6th grade boys and their dads or special family member are invited to attend a fun and informative evening as they learn about male puberty and the changes that go with it. This event takes place one evening every year in the fall in the MPR at Santiago Hills.

Pizza and fun for 6th grade boys

Dinner and refreshments will be served. A small gift will also be handed out to all attendees. This is an event that all SH families look forward to at this special time in your student’s life. This is not a sex talk. This is a conversation about the physical changes in your 6th grader’s body. You don’t want to miss this highly anticipated event in your child’s life.

Dad not available?

Bring granddad, uncle, or another special family member or friend to join the fun. Please note this is NOT a drop off event. Dad or another male guardian must be present with your student, because the purpose of the event is meant to be a conversation starter for boys and a trusted adult.

Health Education

The Guy Stuff program is an Irvine Unified District approved and recommended supplemental program to the 6th grade health curriculum.  IUSD supports the home as the primary provider of education relating to the physical and emotional aspects of becoming a man.  This program is designed to assist in this task by opening up and encouraging the dialog and interaction between parents and students.

Special Guest Speaker

Our special guest speaker, Craig Cooper, will have a presentation for our boys about the changes they will experience as they grow.  Craig leads this session at a number of IUSD schools and was also the guest speaker last year at Santiago Hills.

Please RSVP when you receive your invitation

This is a fully PTA sponsored event, thanks to your donation dollars. When you receive your invitation, please follow the RSVP instructions with your student’s name and name of guest. This will help our PTA parent volunteers get an accurate head count for food and seating.
