2016 Jog-A-Thon: March 18, 2016

The Jog-A-Thon is one of only two annual fundraisers that involves the parents and students in raising money to improve our school facilities and programs!

How will the money be used this year?

Our primary goal is to purchase three Chromebook carts, each with enough Chromebooks for an entire class to use at one time. The Chromebooks can be used this spring for Smarter Balanced testing, so the computer lab and library will not have to close for 6-8 weeks, allowing all students full access to the facilities all year. The Chromebooks will also be used throughout the year to enhance learning in the classrooms.

What is a Chromebook?

A Chromebook is a laptop allowing students to securely share devices while having a personalized learning experience. Each child will have a private login, giving them access to their own work, apps, bookmarks, and more. Schools are the primary customers for Chromebooks, as enhanced security allows them to easily transfer between students. A long-life battery, easy setup and quick loading make them ideal for classroom use.
